Gia: I was preparing our first Christmas lunch for our family of 2 kids, Roxy’s mother whom I had known for 3 days, my sister, her husband and my two teenage nieces and I had no idea how to turn the oven on. I was thinking at the time, please Santa send me a chef, a housekeeper, a nanny, a tour guide and a substitute Gia.
ROXY: Gia hinted that she wanted a kitten for Christmas. She has always loved cats. But her taste was very particular. It had to be white with long hair and a pushed in nose. There was no flexibility in these characteristics whatsoever. I thought, “Typical woman!” My enquiries even went as far as Hong Kong for a Himalayan Persian before being saved by a local breeder who had exactly what Gia wanted. I was ready to take on one but when Gia saw the sister we ended up with two. Rocky for Gia and Pennie for Jackson and Makenzie.
GIA: I was so happy to hear my sister and her family was joining us for Christmas. The idea of spending our first Christmas with kids and mother-in-law for 2 weeks was daunting. I desperately needed the support of my own fans. Add perfectionist to that combination and I feared a meltdown was going to be evident.
